The Artists

We're incredibly proud of the variety of local music that provides our entertainment. Boondocks Grill has proudly featured such artists as:

Scott Chism & the Better Half
Scott Chism & the Better Half
Many moons ago a guitar was purchased and beat on until it began to sound tolerable. Thus spawning the beginning of Scott Chism becoming a guitar player. At the same time just a few counties away... a beautiful young lady with the voice of an angel was already gaining recognition for her talents as a singer; Lynsey Terry. After many years of performing separately; in way too many bands, clubs, organizations, productions,...etc., to list, the two individuals came together in April of 2008 to form Scott Chism & the Better Half. They have been going strong every since! With 33 years of experience in performing between the two of them; they have focused on this project fine-tuning their live performance skills.

Thomas Jackson Orchestra
Thomas Jackson Orchestra
Thomas Jackson has been a presence on the Hattiesburg music scene for years. With a band, he has lived out his boyhood T.Rex fantasies. By himself, he has continued to hone his songcraft somehow making a new creation within the same frames that everyone uses, much like the comic strips he once drew. Like any good songwriter, Jackson experiments with the economy of language. The fact that he has any number of songs that contain the word "blues" in the title is not a gimmick, or even a series; it is that common destination where we all arrive to deal with life's impasses. (Mik Davis Hattiesburg American)
